Polish-Jewish Heritage Foundation of Canada.
Event was held on October 18, 2012 at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto to honor Peter Jassem, marking his decade long chairmanship of the Toronto Chapter of the Polish-Jewish Heritage Foundation of Canada. Representatives of Polish and Jewish communities, members of the foundation, friends and family members attended. Chief editor of Gazeta Wyborcza Adam Michnik was among the distinguished guests. Performances by Paul Kunigis, leader of Jeszcze Raz of Montreal and JUNO award winner, and of the Canadian March of the Living Choir introduced by March of the Living Director Eli Rubenstein, were among the highlights of the evening. The event was a surprise tribute for the foundation’s chair, Peter Jassem, and was organized by Elizabeth Jassem and the Consulate General of Poland.
