Visual art in Israel, in all its diverse forms, is a wonderful reflection of the impressive changes and developments the country has experienced in its 70 years and of its cultural variety. Since the establishment of the state, many artists have expressed themselves in a wealth of techniques, styles and modes of expression, in a continuous dialogue with international trends. They had abundance of inspirational themes and topics, both local and world-wide: the revival of the Jewish people in its homeland and the ingathering of exiles, cultural diversity, historical events, country landscapes, sources of religion and tradition, extraordinary achievements in technology, science, sports, education and industry. … All of these are expressed in this exhibition, „Israel’s 70 – Exhibition of Israeli Artists”.
