On behalf of the Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre, I am forwarding the following information regarding programs of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, received today.Holocaust of the Jewish people was perpetrated by the German Nazis and their accomplices mostly on Polish soil. Half of the 6 million victims were the citizens of Poland.

Our Foundation joins the Centre in Remembrance of all victims.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day Programming: January 2015This week, the Neuberger offers several public commemorative programs to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust and the Second World War. Please join us as we remember the victims of the Holocaust and honour those who survived.

A panel discussion chaired by Doris L. Bergen, Chancellor Rose and Ray Wolfe Professor of Holocaust Studies at the University of Toronto, with fellow members of the design team for the National Holocaust Monument in Ottawa:

Daniel Libeskind, architect
– Edward Burtynsky, photographer
– Claude Cormier, landscape architect
– Dov Goldstein, Lord Cultural Resources

The annual IHRD lecture is generously supported by the Esther Bem Memorial Fund. This year’s program is presented in partnership with the Chancellor Rose and Ray Wolfe Chair of Holocaust Studies, Faculty of Arts and Science, Department of History, and the Anne Tanenbaum Centre for Jewish Studies, University of Toronto.
